Ministry of Tourism
Soudah Development and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism are working in partnership to promote and enhance the quality of tourism and hospitality training and talent. It is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to empower and upskill the local community, create more than 8,000 full-time jobs by 2030 and support small and medium-sized enterprises

National Centre for Wildlife Development (NCWD)
Soudah Development in partnership with NCWD are committed to initiatives that address the threat to wildlife and to reintroduce endangered species into the region to restore the ecological balance of natural ecosystems.

National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification (NCVDCD)
Soudah Development is collaborating with NCVDCD to restore fragile ecosystems through a reforestation program. Our commitment is to plant one million trees by 2030, in line with the Saudi Green Initiative and the Kingdom’s climate change agenda.

Soudah Development (SD) has committed to contributing to SGI which focuses on fighting against climate change, reaffirming its belief in sustainable development and protecting natural resources for future generations in the Kingdom. SD has a number of initiatives that supports SCI mandate.

International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT)
The Aseer region receives IGCAT Award and we are pleased to have collaborated with the Aseer region to enter and receive this prestigious award. IGCAT aims to empower local communities by raising awareness of the importance to protect and promote distinct regional food, culture, arts and natural assets as part of sustainable and balanced tourism and development strategies. This is essential to safeguard our planet, community wellness and local economies.

Soudah Development was one of the main sponsors of the Dakar Rally 2022, one of the world’s toughest endurance motorsports that took place in Saudi Arabia for the third time. Soudah Development is the first company in Saudi Arabia and the wider region to join the United Nations’ prestigious Mountain Partnership. The alliance is dedicated to protection fragile mountain environments around the world and has more than 400 members.

Soudah Development became the 25th company in the Middle East to join the UNWTO, an alliance of more than 500 global members including some of Saudi Arabia’s most prestigious companies and destinations, including NEOM, The Red Sea Development Company and the Royal Commission for AlUla.
PROGRAMS
Scholarship Program
Our scholarship program for the local youth of Soudah and Rijal Almaa aims to prepare national leaders. It will build competencies in the field of tourism and hospitality, within the development framework of creating a sustainable destination. Fields of study include; English as a second language, facility management, resort management, entrepreneurship in the field of hospitality, event management and specialization in the fields of culinary arts. The academic institutions for this program include several educational institutions in the field of tourism and hospitality.

We are working towards developing programs to help build local skill levels through training courses and workshops focused in the field of tourism, hospitality, and hotel management. We strive to develop national human resources at the highest standards to achieve our strategic objectives.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of our development
We are pleased to initiate and support a growing number of sustainable development programs such as reforestation, animal reintroduction and park rehabilitation.
Preserving the environmental integrity and protecting the destination’s natural aesthetics will be a priority for our development project. We will follow a rigorous regulatory framework and urban planning code to underpin all our development activities.
Safeguarding plants and wildlife falls under Vision 2030’s sustainability agenda and will ensure that future generations enjoy the rich natural biodiversity of the region.

We will introduce research programs to ensure the protection and preservation of Soudah’s unique flora and fauna - from lavender fields, juniper forests and endemic bird species and native animals.
